Selection of Personal Checks – Thinking Out of the Box, Part II

In the last post I talked about how I had recently been called out by a friend for my choice of personal checks. She said at the time that while everything else about me was a clear reflection of my personality, the checks that I used were plain and boring. I had to admit that I hadn’t really given any thought to what checks I used; in truth, while I took an inordinate amount of time to pick out everything from my purses to the funky hats for which I was known, I had not once ever considered the design of my checks.

I took this input from my friend quite seriously and decided on the spot to start looking for some checks that made more sense for who I am and what I like to show the world. I went online to a private printer that I had come across in some recent web browsing and there I was able to choose from among a vast selection of personal checks that allowed me to choose everything from color to design – including the option to design photo checks.

With some much to choose from I wondered why I had spent all those years – and all that money – ordering plain old bank checks when I could have been walking around with a conversation piece in my purse. I choose the wildest checks I could find and I didn’t stop with one; I choose a few designs and I change them up according to how I’m feeling at the time.

My friend who had initially made the comment about my plain checks was the first to see the new designs and she was impressed. She said that that these new checks told someone who may not know me exactly who I am and what to expect. And I couldn’t agree more.
