Choosing Checks for my Household, Part II

In the last post I talked about my role in my household – caring for my family while still finding ways to bring in money from home. I was what you would have once called a housewife but today women who stay at home with their kids wear a multitude of hats – from businessperson to mom – and we cannot be pigeonholed into one title.

As I said, part of what I feel that my responsibility is there at home is to try to save as much money as possible – to make our dollars stretch as far as possible. I have looked – from all possible angles – at all of the many ways in which we can improve our household economy and have tried many different tactics in this pursuit.

One of the things that I began to consider – as I set about to order checks the same way that I had always done – was how much these orders were costing us each and every time. And if we felt like we were actually getting what we paid for. The answer, after a quick examination – was no.
