Express Your Individuality With Photo Checks

Houses in subdivisions are meant to look all alike. Vanilla ice cream is vanilla ice cream. Monotony is a part of life. It doesn’t have to be though. When it’s time to break away from the cookie-cutter mold and express a little individuality, photo checks can deliver.

Photo checks are not like average bank checks by a long shot. Rather than follow any set design pattern, these personal checks enable people to have fun with design and show off their inner selves, their interests or even their passions. Instead of no graphics, like bank checks, these designs call for the use of personal photos in the mix. This means just about any image a consumer wants can be emblazed on their own personal checks.

When the decision is made to order checks, photo checks are a great idea because they:

Are fun to create – Online printers make ordering photo checks a fun experience. They provide clients with the ability to upload their own images and customize their checks in a number of different ways. The best printers will even help clients make certain they’ve selected good images for use in the background on checks.

Are truly distinct – Photo checks give people the ability to create their own drafts that are unlike anyone else’s. This can be a real boon for those who want something different, unusual and interesting to capture attention and help them stand out as distinct.

Are cost effective – This type of check does not have to cost a fortune. When a good printer is selected, the overall costs will not be much different from bank checks. The look, however, will be.

Cookie-cutter is fine when it’s time for baking during the holidays. When a little individuality is desired, however, getting it isn’t always easy. Photo checks can help.

Choosing Checks for My Business, Part II

In the last post I talked about the birth of my new business – the company that I had started by accident as I sold all of my unnecessary items on eBay prior to a big move. I had been a pack rat up until that point but now I reveled in the remarkable feeling that came with recycling items and making a profit. So good was I at this new enterprise that I became the “go to” girl when any of my friends wanted to sell something online but were too intimidated by the process. And before long it became apparent that I could really do something with this service and start my own legitimate business.

I gave my company a name, had a logo created, and put together marketing materials that would help promote the service. More than anything word of my business spread thanks to those who had worked with me. Anyone who had anything to sell on eBay would get in touch with me; I would pick up their stuff, itemize it, photograph it, and upload it with a description to my newly created online “store.” Then, when it sold I would take part of the profit and I would turn over a percentage of the profit to the original seller. This of course meant writing checks and I wanted to make sure that my business checks were something that stood out and something that people remembered.

I knew that the standard bank checks I would normally get were just not going to cut it and so I went online to look at private printers that had more of a selection. That turned out to be the best thing to do for sure. I found a great printer that has this amazing selection of personal checks as well as business checks and I was able to get exactly what I wanted in terms of design (nothing ordinary here) and price. Now my business is really getting off the ground!

I am a self-proclaimed pack rat; and for as long as I can remember I have horded everything from clothes to furniture, thinking that if I threw just one thing out I would - by way of Murphy’s Law – need it the very next day. This is the behavior that ruled my world for many years and eventually I ran out of space in my townhouse that was never meant to hold as much stuff as I had forced within its confines. When I got married my husband and I bought a single family house and he sat me down for what I considered to be a pack rat intervention. He essentially told me, in no uncertain terms, that under no circumstances was all of my stuff accompanying us in our new life together. The jig was up. And so I turned over a new leaf and prior to the move I set about getting rid of all of those things that were not necessary in my life. I had to throw a lot away due to disrepair but most of it I gave away. And then there were those things that I thought I could make some money on if I put them up for sale. And that’s how I found eBay.

If collecting stuff was the behavior that defined the first half of my life than my obsession with eBay may define the second part. I was able to sell so many of my things on this amazing website that I began to get really good at the actual execution of it. I was so good, in fact, that I started accepting things from friends who had charged me with selling their items. I would take pictures with my new camera in my mock “studio,” post the items with descriptions and wait. It was the easiest money to be made. And that’s when my business was born. It was time to get serious and I set about putting together all of the items that would legitimize my business including my new business checks. More in the next post…

Order Checks at Lunch and Make Sure They Stand Out

With all that most of us having going on from day to day the weekly “chores” that we need to do can easily take a backseat when there is work to be done and when we have a family for which to care. There is simply no time in the day in which to get everything accomplished that we need to do and the things that are able to be done are those that are able to fit into an already jammed packed day. The Internet has, of course, allowed this to be the case in most instances; most of what we need to do – need to purchase or accomplish – can be done online where logging on has replaced the traditional drive to a store or business.

Even something as simple as purchasing checks can now be done online. While before we may have had to actually visit our bank or other financial institution to order checks, today we are able to do it easily online. And while bank checks were our only option even when the Internet first began to rise in popularity, today we are able to order checks from private printers where ease, convenience, and extensive selection all co-exist.

Now getting online to order checks can be done in a matter of minutes; completely taken care of during a lunch hour from work. And not only do consumers have the benefit of convenience when they order checks in this manner, they are also provided the benefit of selection. Bank checks may be easy to order but they may not be the design and style that the consumer wants. Private printers, however, offer a selection that allows people to choose the specific design of checks that they want to use from day to day – everything from photo checks to artwork of different themes.

Don’t Settle When You Order Checks

Shopping for exactly what we want is something that most of us enjoy; something into which we can sink our teeth. But when we shop for something that may not exactly change our lives, but is still something that we want to look a certain way, we may be less inclined to get the job done. Checks, for instance, may not be something to which we give a lot of thought but they still have to be purchased and we still surely want them to look a certain way.

In the past if we needed checks we had to go to the bank and submit a form or mail in a request along with payment. And the available selection of checks was typically as mundane as the process of buying of them. Today, we are able to order checks online and pay electronically. But, in most cases, this higher level of functionality does not translate to selection. In fact, many bank checks are just as boring as ever, leaving the idea of actually “shopping” for checks something that is minimally appealing.
But with the selection provided by private printers today – through websites that cater to customers who want choices as much as they want affordability and convenience – shopping for checks is something that is fun and incredibly easy.

Better yet, the checks available through these websites allow consumers to express themselves a little differently than they have ever likely done and to use checks to make a statement rather than just pay a bill.

With the Internet at our beck and call these days it is no longer necessary to settle when it comes to shopping for anything, and checks are no exception. High quality and affordable private printers are poised to get the job done right and give their customers exactly what they want.

Selection of Personal Checks – Thinking Out of the Box, Part II

Filed under: Checks, Personal Checks — Checks Editor @ 8:00 pm

In the last post I talked about how I had recently been called out by a friend for my choice of personal checks. She said at the time that while everything else about me was a clear reflection of my personality, the checks that I used were plain and boring. I had to admit that I hadn’t really given any thought to what checks I used; in truth, while I took an inordinate amount of time to pick out everything from my purses to the funky hats for which I was known, I had not once ever considered the design of my checks.

I took this input from my friend quite seriously and decided on the spot to start looking for some checks that made more sense for who I am and what I like to show the world. I went online to a private printer that I had come across in some recent web browsing and there I was able to choose from among a vast selection of personal checks that allowed me to choose everything from color to design – including the option to design photo checks.

With some much to choose from I wondered why I had spent all those years – and all that money – ordering plain old bank checks when I could have been walking around with a conversation piece in my purse. I choose the wildest checks I could find and I didn’t stop with one; I choose a few designs and I change them up according to how I’m feeling at the time.

My friend who had initially made the comment about my plain checks was the first to see the new designs and she was impressed. She said that that these new checks told someone who may not know me exactly who I am and what to expect. And I couldn’t agree more.

Selection of Personal Checks – Thinking Out of the Box, Part I

Choosing checks for a business is one thing; you are interested in branding your company and promoting your services and very often a business check will include a logo and other pertinent information to this end. But personal checks – which are meant to be personal by virtue of their name – should at least reflect something of the user’s personality. But mine sure didn’t and every time I needed to order checks I went straight to the bank checks that I had ordered time and time again.

One time, however, I wrote my friend a personal check for something and when I put it in her hand she looked up at me in surprise. When I asked her what was wrong – figuring that I had written the wrong amount or something – she said that she was surprised that these were the checks I was going around using. I didn’t understand what she meant but she quickly pointed out that my personality was such that I frequently wore bold colors, changed my hair at least once a month, decorated my house with bold strokes, and spoke out in general about anything on which I felt strongly. She said that she was therefore surprised that my checks were so…well…boring.

After feeling initially offended and wondering what difference it made what my checks looked like I began to understand what she was saying. I took so much time to pick out the small details of my life that were important to me and my checks had nothing whatsoever to do with my personality; they paled in comparison to everything else about me and ultimately did nothing to tell the world who I was.

It may have been a small thing to others but I am someone who likes things to be right. It was time to order personal checks the right way and I knew just where to go, as I’ll share in the next post.

Joining a Life with Checks

Getting married is no small decision. There are the many plans that come with putting together a wedding – no matter what the size of the event. And there is, of course, the actual marriage that must be considered; as you determine if you want the same things out of life and begin the journey together. And, there are also the many details that come when you combine your life with someone else. Even if you have lived together before the actual wedding, there is still the adjustment to being legally bound and for many couples this generally is focused on finances.

Whether you choose to combine your money into one joint checking and savings account or maintain separate accounts there is still the need to pay joint household expenses. Everything must be considered – from who will be taking care of the actual bill paying to how you both envision your financial future. Will there be savings? Educational funds? Investments? Retirement accounts? There is much to consider and much to discuss. There is a reason why money is often at the root of most married couples’ problems.

But when you take the time to really talk over all of these details – your individual feelings about money, where you see yourselves in the future, what is important to you, what makes you feel most financially comfortable, and more – before a wedding you are doing yourself, and your significant other, an enormous service. These are not conversations to save until later.

When it comes time to set up joint accounts if that is what is decided, this is also the time to choose checks that represent your new life as a married couple. It used to be that bank checks were the only option in the world of bill paying. But today, through online sources that offer an extensive selection of checks of every design, the options are nearly endless.

Celebrate your new life together with checks that have both of your names and the design that most appeals to you.

Brand New Account, New Checks to Match

Young people set their sights – often as soon as they can understand the concept of being on their own – of spreading their wings and building their life free of the restrictions placed on them by their parents. They have no way of knowing – will never know until they are responsible for someone else – how difficult it is for parents to set those guidelines and enforce those rules. It’s only out of love; and it’s also out of love that we set our children free when they are of age to go off to college or out into the world to begin their life on their own. This a bittersweet time as we help them to put together everything they will need to get started in organizing their first home away from home – be it a dorm room, an apartment, or even their first house.

Of course one of the things that must be addressed is that of a bank account. Many children have their own savings accounts, set up by their parents to host the many monetary gifts that come from grandparents and other relatives throughout the years. But when it’s time to go out into the world where there are bills to pay, there must be checks with which to do it. Sure, there is the option of online bill pay, but when there’s a checking account – as there must be – checks must be chosen and ordered.

So what options are there beyond the typical bank checks to which we are generally accustomed? Well, there is the option of choosing personal checks from private printers - online retailers that offer an almost unheard of selection when it comes to checks and at prices that are hard to beat anywhere.

After all, a young person leaving home is striking out on their own; the last thing they want is the same old boring checks that mom and dad used to have. Getting checks online allows individuals to be individuals and express themselves accordingly.

Checks Complete the Picture for Your Own Business

In my world – in the suburbs where there are many women who try desperately to do all they can to be as available as possible to their children while still contributing to the income brought into the house – you will see people doing many interesting and out of the box things to earn money. There are many women in my area, in fact, that have started their own in-home demonstration companies; orchestrating parties in people’s homes where they exhibit and sell everything from kitchen gadgets to food items.

When pursued with focus and passion there is no question that such businesses can be quite lucrative; and allow people to have flexibility in their work schedule. And with the Internet on our side it is now easier than ever to explore the options when it comes to in-home businesses and to accumulate all of the information necessary to make a decision about the type of business that will work best for you.

Of course, once a decision is made there are the steps necessary to get the business up and going which usually requires some training and the purchase of the products that will be needed for upcoming demonstrations, as well as all of the company-branded literature that will help a busy salesperson represent themself most professionally. Many may stop here; but there are those who are truly committed to turning this opportunity into a true business and they will brand themselves accordingly with the purchase of business cards and checks that bear their name and perhaps the name of the parent company.

An in-home business offers flexibility and versatility which means that it can be anything a business person wishes it to be; including the choice of checks and other pieces that will professionally represent their business and allow them to go out into the world with confidence.
